About this fabric

This 100% wool fabric is woven with narrow horizontal stripes and repeated diamond motifs, using charcoal, burgundy-red, warm taupe and pale cream tones. The subdued red sits within the dark ground rather than appearing bright, giving the colourway a layered, low-contrast depth. With a 150 cm width and a 49 cm vertical by 37 cm horizontal pattern repeat, the design is suitable for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. It has a 20,000 Martindale rub test; care is professional dry cleaning only, with no washing, bleaching or ironing.

How to use it

Use the charcoal ground on a tailored chair, sofa or bedspread where the muted red diamonds can act as a restrained accent. As curtains, its horizontal banding would suit rooms using warm taupe, cream and dark timber tones.

A structured geometric wool that brings charcoal depth and muted red warmth to upholstery, curtains and bedspreads.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
