Harlech Red/Sage combines muted brick red, sage, taupe and cream in a richly banded geometric weave. Repeating diamond motifs sit between fine horizontal stripes, giving the swatch a rhythmic, textile-led character.

About this fabric

The design is organised into broad horizontal bands, with stepped diamond medallions framed by smaller cream and red geometric details. Its red reads as earthy and softened rather than bright, while sage and taupe stripes temper the warmth and give the colourway a grounded, slightly rustic depth. Woven in 100% wool at 150 cm wide, it has a substantial appearance suited to curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. The 49 cm vertical repeat and 37 cm horizontal repeat make the medallion layout important to consider when planning upholstered panels or joined widths. It has a 20,000 Martindale rub test; aftercare is professional dry cleaning only, with no washing, bleaching or ironing.

How to use it

Use the muted red diamonds on a relaxed armchair, headboard or bench, pairing them with sage-painted joinery, warm taupe upholstery or natural timber. In curtains or a bedspread, the horizontal bands can add a strong architectural rhythm without relying on a bright red accent.
