Meerwood orange
Penningtonweaves Fabricmeerwoo/fa1/cor
Meerwood Orange shows a painterly floral print across a pale ground, with warm apricot, coral and olive notes lifted by soft lilac stems. The large-scale roses feel lively but still airy thanks to the light background.

About this fabric
Woven in 78% cotton and 22% polyester, this fabric has a substantial 594gsm handle and a 15,000 Martindale rating, making it suitable for curtains, blinds and upholstery. The design reads as a loose, expressive floral, with rose shapes picked out in coral, terracotta, blush and mossy green against an off-white base. In this orange colourway, the warmth is softened rather than brash, so the pattern feels sun-faded, painterly and easy to live with. The 140cm width and 70cm by 54.3cm pattern repeat make it practical for tailored soft furnishings and larger upholstery pieces. Dry clean only and iron safe, it balances decorative character with everyday use.
How to use it
Pair the warm apricot ground with weathered woods, pale neutrals and sage accents for a relaxed country-house feel. It works especially well on occasional chairs, roman blinds or full-length curtains where the large florals can breathe.
Use it for statement curtains or a tailored armchair where the soft apricot ground keeps the print fresh.

Pairs well with
A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Meerwood orange without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
