Rue Linen Calico

Rue Linen FabricSAF0347-01

Rue Linen Calico reads as a gentle linen cream, with a soft, barely-there surface character rather than a stark white finish. The cloth has a calm, matte look that lets the natural weave take the lead.

About this fabric

This colourway sits in a warm-soft cream family, with a lightly mottled, linen-like texture that catches the light without looking glossy. At 241 gsm, it has enough substance for upholstery while still feeling suitable for drapery, and the 139 cm usable width makes it practical for a range of interior projects. The fabric has no visible pattern repeat, so the surface stays clean and understated. With 84 threads per cm, the cloth reads as tightly woven and refined, giving the pale tone a smooth, tailored appearance.

How to use it

Use this shade where you want lightness without brightness: it suits relaxed sofas, upholstered headboards, and calm curtains in rooms with warm timber or stone. The soft cream tone works especially well alongside oatmeal, sand, and muted sage accents.

A quietly versatile neutral that works across relaxed upholstery and pared-back curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
