About this fabric

This Sanderson One Sixty Fabrics design is a substantial textile at 425 gsm, with a usable width of 137 cm and a generous 48 cm vertical repeat, which suits the scale of its trailing hollyhock motif. The ebony background gives the colourway a blackened, almost velvet-like depth, while the cerise pink flowers, buttery creams and clear yellow accents stand out sharply across the surface. Fine woven detail is visible in the leaves and petals, and the 26.8 threads per cm give the print a crisp, defined look rather than a blurred finish. The overall effect is opulent but lively, with the dark ground keeping the palette grounded and the brighter tones feeling especially fresh.

How to use it

Use it on an occasional chair, banquette or cushions if you want the floral trail to read against a dark, tailored backdrop. It also works well in a room with brass, lacquered black or painted wood, where the ebony ground will feel deliberate rather than heavy.
