About this colour

This shade reads as a pale, muted green with a discreet grey base, so it feels settled rather than minty or bright. Its light value helps a room feel open, but the grey undertone keeps it from looking washed out. In north-facing light it can cool a little and lean more grey, which gives it a quieter, more restrained character. In south-facing light the green comes forward and the colour feels warmer and more creamy. It sits well beside natural oak, painted joinery in deeper greens, and upholstery in linen, taupe or brown-based neutrals. In Acrylic Eggshell, Elite Emulsion or True Matt, it works neatly across walls and woodwork in the same room.

How to use it

Use Celadon in a sitting room, bedroom or library where you want a gentle backdrop for framed timber furniture and patterned upholstery. It pairs especially well with walnut, aged brass and neutral curtains in flax, stone or soft olive.
