About this colour

This shade reads as a pale, muted green with a discreet grey base, so it feels settled rather than minty or bright. Its light value helps a room feel open, but the grey undertone keeps it from looking washed out. In north-facing light it can cool a little and lean more grey, which gives it a quieter, more restrained character. In south-facing light the green comes forward and the colour feels warmer and more creamy. It sits well beside natural oak, painted joinery in deeper greens, and upholstery in linen, taupe or brown-based neutrals. In Acrylic Eggshell, Elite Emulsion or True Matt, it works neatly across walls and woodwork in the same room.

How to use it

Use Celadon in a sitting room, bedroom or library where you want a gentle backdrop for framed timber furniture and patterned upholstery. It pairs especially well with walnut, aged brass and neutral curtains in flax, stone or soft olive.

A pale green-grey that stays quiet on the wall and works well with timber and neutral furnishings.

Pairs well with

Celadon is a wall colour, so these are the cloths that sit against it: one of them on the curtains, the paint behind. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.
