About this colour

This shade reads as a soft beige with a slight yellow-brown undertone, so it feels warm rather than grey. On a wall it lifts light gently without becoming bright, giving a calm, even backdrop that stays close and inviting. In a north-facing room it can look a little more muted and earthy, while in south-facing light the warmth comes forward and the colour feels lighter and more open. It sits well beside natural oak, walnut and painted woodwork in off-white or deeper biscuit tones, and it gives a steady base for upholstery in linen, mohair or patterned textiles.

How to use it

Silk suits living rooms, bedrooms and hallways where you want a soft, grounded neutral. It works neatly with timber joinery and with upholstery in cream, taupe, olive or muted terracotta.
