Dawson Teak is a deep, warm brown upholstery fabric with a softly mottled surface and fine, irregular linear marks. Its dark teak tone reads as richly grounded rather than flat, with subtle variation appearing across the cloth.

About this fabric

At 730gsm, Dawson Teak has the substantial visual and handle weight expected of an upholstery cloth. The surface combines a dense brown ground with barely contrasting crosshatched and striated lines, creating a tactile, weathered effect without a defined motif. It is supplied at a 140cm useable width and a 25m standard length. With a 0cm vertical and horizontal pattern repeat, the texture can be positioned freely across upholstered panels.

How to use it

Use Dawson Teak on a tailored sofa, armchair or headboard where its warm, near-earth brown can anchor lighter linens, aged timber and brushed metal. The quiet tonal texture adds depth without introducing a strong directional pattern.

Use this deep teak tone to bring warmth and understated depth to tailored upholstery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
