About this fabric
This 730gsm fabric has a substantial handle suited to upholstery, while its dark slate colour gives furniture a grounded, architectural feel. The surface combines smoky charcoal shading with subtly lighter grey-brown threads and irregular, crosshatched lines that emerge as the light moves across it. It has a usable width of 140cm and a 25m standard length. With 0cm vertical and horizontal pattern repeats, the texture can be positioned without matching a conventional motif.
How to use it
Use Dawson Slate on a tailored sofa, armchair or dining seat where its cool charcoal depth can anchor pale stone, weathered wood and brushed-metal finishes. Its softly varied surface also works well alongside plain black, grey and muted taupe textiles.
