About this fabric
This Clarke & Clarke fabric weighs 250gsm and has a usable width of 139cm, giving it a versatile mid-weight presence for upholstery or drapery. Charcoal, graphite and silver-grey tones move through the design in broken vertical bands, while the textured weave softens the contrast between light and dark areas. Its 27.5cm vertical repeat and 23.2cm horizontal repeat create a measured scale without losing the hand-worked, painterly character visible in the swatch. The standard length is 40 metres.
How to use it
Pair Contour Charcoal with cool pale greys, brushed metal and blackened timber for a crisp, contemporary scheme. Its silver-grey highlights can also lift darker charcoal seating or full-height curtains without introducing a strong colour.
Use its cool charcoal ground and silver-grey striations to add quietly graphic texture to upholstery, curtains or cushions.
