Tyndall Slate Blue

Tyndall Linen FabricF4686-19

Tyndall Slate Blue is a quietly tonal plain linen with a cool, muted blue-grey look. The close weave gives the surface a soft, even finish with just enough texture to keep it from feeling flat.

About this fabric

Part of the Tyndall Linen collection by Colefax and Fowler, this colourway is woven in 90% Linen and 10% Polyamide and is shown here as a plain cloth with no visible repeat. The 142cm approx width makes it practical for both upholstery and drapery work, while the linen-rich construction gives the fabric a natural, lightly slubby appearance. In Slate Blue, the shade reads more weathered than bright: a calm blue with a greyed, stone-like undertone that softens in the light. The overall effect is tailored but not severe, with a matte finish that feels restrained and versatile.

How to use it

Use this muted slate blue on a contemporary armchair, bench, or curtains where you want colour without brightness. It pairs particularly well with pale oak, chalky whites, and deeper navy accents for a layered, settled room.

Its cool, understated slate tone works beautifully on tailored upholstery or relaxed curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
