Infinity Velvets Orbit Slate Blue Wavy

Orbit Slate Blue Wavy combines a creamy ground with broad, flowing slate-grey velvet lines that shimmer as they catch the light. The effect is fluid and graphic, with a cool tonal contrast that feels modern rather than busy.

About this fabric

This fabric is from the Infinity collection by iliv and is woven as a velvet with a 54% viscose and 46% polyester composition. The design shows oversized, ribbon-like wavy bands in cool slate blue-grey across a pale ivory base, and the pile gives the darker motif a soft, light-catching depth. With a usable width of 138cm and a horizontal pattern repeat of 18cm by 17cm vertically, it is suited to statement applications where the movement of the pattern can be seen clearly. A Martindale rating of 100,000 and severe contract upholstery grade make it robust enough for demanding upholstery, while it is also treatable for FR drapery and upholstery.

How to use it

Pair this slate-toned velvet with pale oak, polished chrome or soft stone colours for a calm, contemporary scheme. It works especially well on a tailored armchair, bench or full-length curtains where the flowing pattern can soften angular furniture.

Use this cool slate velvet to add movement and a tailored, contemporary edge.

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Infinity Velvets Orbit Slate Blue Wavy without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
