About this colour

At #B1A48A, Rolling Fog - Dark reads as a warm, muted neutral with enough depth to feel enveloping without going heavy. On walls it absorbs some light, so it feels calmer and more shaded than a pale stone, but it still keeps a room open. In a north-facing room it will lean cooler and more taupe, with the grey side coming forward. In south-facing light it becomes warmer and more biscuit-toned, which suits the house's Neutrals palette and works well beside natural timber, pale oak, aged brass, and upholstery in linen, wool, or muted green.

How to use it

Use it in sitting rooms, studies, or bedrooms where you want a soft backdrop for painted joinery or fitted woodwork. It sits well with oatmeal, mushroom, olive, and chestnut tones in curtains and upholstery.

A warm neutral that gives walls a calm, settled presence.
