About this fabric
This colourway has a dark blue-grey cast that sits closer to ink navy than bright blue, with the weave just visible across the surface. The cloth is composed of 30% Cotton, 25% Viscose, 15% Linen and 30% Wool, giving it a natural, lightly nubbly hand and a dry, textural look. With a Martindale rub test of 40,000 and upholstery grade noted as Contract and General Domestic, it is well suited to hard-wearing seating as well as curtains and loose covers. The 137cm width and plain repeat make it straightforward to cut and pattern-match, while the BS5852 Part 1 fire rating adds practical reassurance. Dry clean care and stain resistance help preserve the depth of this darker navy tone.
How to use it
Use Pluto Navy on a sofa or banquette for a clean, tailored anchor, then pair it with oak, pale stone and brushed brass to keep the dark shade from feeling too heavy. It also works well as full-length curtains where the deep navy will read softly and cocooning in natural light.
