About this fabric

The close plain weave creates a softly irregular surface, with fine horizontal slubs and small tonal variations visible across the swatch rather than a printed motif. Its restrained wicker colouring sits between pale beige, cream and a quiet olive-grey, giving the fabric more depth than a flat neutral. Vara is 137cm wide and specified for fixed upholstery in Contract and General Domestic settings. The composition is 17% Viscose, 23% Recycled Polyester, 44% Acrylic, 7% Linen and 9% Polyester, with dry-clean after-care.

How to use it

Pair Vara Wicker with warm ivory, chalk and pale oak for a calm, light-filled scheme, or use its muted khaki flecks alongside sage and aged brass. The understated weave is well suited to upholstered sofas, headboards and dining chairs where subtle texture is preferred over pattern.

Use this softly mottled wicker tone to bring quiet texture to sofas, dining seats and occasional chairs.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
