Wayfarer Stripe Blue/Red combines narrow blue-grey vertical bands with broken coral-red accents on a pale ground. Its woven surface gives the stripe a softly textured, tactile appearance rather than a flat printed look.

About this fabric

This 100% cotton fabric is 134 cm (52.64") wide and has a 15 cm (5.89") vertical pattern repeat with a 16.8 cm (6.6") horizontal repeat. In the swatch, cool blue-grey lines provide the strongest rhythm, while the coral-red marks add warmth and movement without overpowering the pale background. The compact stripe works for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. It must not be washed, bleached or ironed, and requires professional dry cleaning.

How to use it

Use the blue-grey ground as the cool structural colour in a room, then pick up the coral-red details in cushions, piping or small decorative accents. The vertical stripe is particularly effective on curtains or on tailored upholstery where its directional rhythm can be maintained.
