About this fabric

The design is built from alternating narrow and broad vertical stripes, with the red details adding a restrained, warm accent between the darker indigo bands. The taupe background softens the contrast, while the indigo reads as a cool, ink-like blue rather than a bright navy. Woven from 53% cotton and 47% jute, the 136 cm wide fabric has a lightly textured face suited to both curtains and upholstery. It is rated at 45,000 Wyzenbeek Cotton Duck rubs and has a 17 cm horizontal pattern repeat, making it a practical choice for loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads as well.

How to use it

Use this cool indigo-and-taupe stripe on a tailored armchair or sofa, then repeat the fine red accent in cushions or trim. Its vertical rhythm also gives full-length curtains a crisp, architectural finish.

Use the cool indigo and red stripe to bring tailored contrast to upholstery, curtains or a coordinated bedspread.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
