Akan Indigo

Curios Weaves FabricSAF0439-01

Akan Indigo reads as a crisp indigo-and-cream geometric with a tightly packed, woven rhythm. The small-scale pattern gives the cloth a tailored, graphic feel.

About this fabric

This Sanderson Curios Weaves fabric is specified at 142 cm usable width, with a 4 cm vertical repeat and 4.5 cm horizontal repeat, and its substantial 632 gsm weight gives it a firm, upholstery-ready handle. The design shows a compact, almost pixel-like weave effect, where deep indigo blocks sit against a pale ground to create a cool, high-contrast surface. The threads per cm count of 122 supports the fine, detailed look visible in the cloth, with the motif reading sharp rather than blurred. In this colourway, the blue is distinctly inky and architectural, softened slightly by the pale ground so it feels smart rather than harsh.

How to use it

Use Akan Indigo on a statement chair, ottoman or banquette to bring pattern without overwhelming a room. It works especially well with white walls, dark timber and brushed metal for a clean, contemporary contrast.

Pairs well with pale oak, chalk white and tactile linens for a crisp, tailored scheme.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
