About this fabric

This Sanderson fabric from the Curios Weaves collection has a usable width of 140 cm, a vertical pattern repeat of 17.5 cm and a horizontal repeat of 7.5 cm, so the motif reads as a tidy, rhythmic all-over pattern. At 460 gsm and 62 threads per cm, it has the substantial, closely woven feel you would expect from an upholstery cloth. The blue ground is a cool, medium-deep indigo rather than a bright denim tone, which gives the white motif good contrast without feeling stark. The small cream-ivory marks soften the design and keep the surface lively even from a distance.

How to use it

Use it on an occasional chair, ottoman or blind where the indigo background can anchor the room. It sits especially well with pale oak, chalky whites and warm neutrals that pick up the ivory detailing.

A crisp indigo ground with tiny ivory motifs feels tailored and versatile on chairs or cushions.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
