About this fabric

This Sanderson fabric from the Curios Weaves collection is a substantial woven textile with a usable width of 143 cm and a weight of 568 gsm, giving it the presence expected of upholstery fabric. The design has a small vertical stripe repeat of 4 cm by 12 cm, and the repeating bands are clearly visible in the swatch as slim pale zigzag columns set between deeper harissa red stripes and soft aegean blue fields. The overall effect is cool-warm contrast rather than bold saturation: the red feels earthy and paprika-like, while the blue leans muted sea-glass. Its dense weave and high thread count of 108 threads per cm suggest a firm, structured handle that suits tailored furniture.

How to use it

Use it on an accent chair, bench, or ottoman where the narrow stripe can run cleanly and show off the colour contrast. It works especially well with weathered wood, pale plaster, and other blue-green or rust tones.
