About this fabric
This Sanderson velvet has a substantial 405gsm handle and a usable width of 148 cm, making it well suited to upholstered pieces that need body and presence. The surface appears dense and softly lustrous, with the teal shifting between blue-green and deeper forested notes as the light moves across it. With no vertical or horizontal pattern repeat, the cloth keeps a clean, uninterrupted look that suits contemporary seating as well as more traditional shapes. The colourway feels saturated rather than bright, giving it a refined jewel-box character instead of a sharp or shiny finish.
How to use it
Use this deep teal on an accent chair, sofa or ottoman where the velvet can catch the light and show its tonal depth. It also works beautifully against walnut, brass and warm neutrals, which make the blue-green richness feel even more composed.
A rich teal velvet that adds depth and polish to tailored upholstery or statement accents.

Pairs well with
Dorton Atlantis is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
