About this fabric

This Sanderson velvet from the Dorton Velvets collection has a plain surface with no repeat, letting the colour and pile do the work. At 405 gsm and 102 threads per cm, it has the substantial feel associated with upholstery use, while the 148 cm usable width makes it practical for larger projects. The shade reads as a chive green rather than a bright leaf tone, with an earthy olive cast that softens its look. Light skims across the pile to create gentle tonal variation, giving the fabric depth without any obvious pattern.

How to use it

Use this green velvet on a statement armchair, banquette or ottoman where its quiet saturation can anchor the room. It pairs especially well with warm oak, brass and pale neutrals that let the chive tone stand forward.
