About this fabric

This Sanderson fabric from the Elysian Fabrics collection has a usable width of 139 cm and a substantial weight of 344 gsm, which gives the cloth a confident, upholstered handle. The pattern repeat measures 61 cm vertically and 69 cm horizontally, so the large floral scale is designed to make an impression across broader pieces. In Briarwood/Russet, the palette feels warm and slightly sun-faded rather than bright: coral pinks, deep rose, cream, sage and moss sit against scattered berry-blue accents. The overall effect is busy in the best way, with enough softness in the ground colour to keep the design from reading heavy.

How to use it

Use this colourway on an armchair, ottoman or dining seat where the warm russet and rose tones can pick up timber, brass or aged leather. It also works well with soft oatmeal, sage or warm white surroundings to balance the full floral pattern.

Pair with quiet neutrals to let the painterly blooms and berries take centre stage.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
