Mondrago Aegean

Palma Collection FabricMONDRAGO

Mondrago Aegean shows a delicate all-over damask pattern in a cool, softened blue-grey ground. The small-scale repeat gives it a calm, tailored look with a subtle traditional feel.

About this fabric

Woven in Spain from 85% cotton and 15% linen, Mondrago Aegean is specified for severe contract upholstery and drapes, with a width of 140cm and a 45,000 rub test. The fabric has a fine, closely worked surface that reads more like a crisp decorative weave than a bulky textile, making the tiny pattern feel neat and controlled. In this colourway, the blue sits as a muted Aegean tone rather than a strong primary, softened by grey and a pale ground so the motif remains elegant rather than bold. The 8.5cm vertical repeat and 3.5cm horizontal repeat support the orderly, repeating damask effect visible in the image.

How to use it

Use this soft Aegean shade on a compact armchair, bench or classic headboard where the small pattern can be appreciated up close. It also suits lined curtains in rooms that need a cool, composed accent without heavy colour.

A cool, refined weave that works beautifully on tailored upholstery or elegant drapery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
