Galatzo Smoke

Palma Collection FabricGALATZO

Galatzo Smoke shows a tight, small-scale woven herringbone that reads as softly textured rather than bold. Its smoky taupe ground sits in a calm, understated neutral range with a gentle dry linen look.

About this fabric

Woven in 85% cotton and 15% linen, Galatzo Smoke has the grounded handle and natural surface you would expect from a traditional upholstery cloth. The 45,000 rub test and severe contract upholstery and drapes suitability make it a practical choice for both hard-working seating and tailored window treatments. In this colourway, the fine chevron weave appears in muted mushroom and grey-brown tones, giving the cloth a dry, smoky finish that feels refined rather than stark. The 140cm width and 364 grams per linear metre give it a substantial, substantial-feeling body, while the 1.5cm vertical repeat and 2cm horizontal repeat keep the pattern neatly scaled and easy to place.

How to use it

Use Galatzo Smoke on upholstered chairs, banquettes or headboards where a quiet textured neutral is needed. It also works well for drapes in rooms with oak, stone or painted woodwork, where its smoky taupe tone will feel composed and warm.

A restrained neutral that adds texture without overpowering a scheme.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Galatzo Smoke without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
