Hailsham FabricF4871-04

Lindley Old Blue shows the Hailsham damask in a gentle, faded blue on a pale linen ground. The pattern reads ornate but softly aged, with the motif kept light and airy rather than bold.

About this fabric

Woven in 100% linen, this Colefax and Fowler fabric has a relaxed handle that suits both curtains and upholstery in lighter-use schemes. The design has a large repeat of approximately V 53cm / H 44cm, creating a full damask rhythm across the cloth. In this colourway, the old blue motif is diluted and chalky, with a washed look that sits quietly against the natural ground. The overall effect is refined and traditional, but softened enough to feel calm rather than formal. Width is approximately 132cm, and care code Q 8 + T 3 with fire code √BM are supplied for specification purposes.

How to use it

Use this colourway where you want pattern without heaviness: on a tailored armchair, blind, or full-length curtains with pale oak and linen upholstery. Its softened blue works especially well with dove grey, stone, and faded painted finishes.

Lovely for relaxed classics with pale woods and chalky neutrals.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
