MAE-3378 is a softly atmospheric velvet with a pale grey ground layered with chalky ivory, blue-grey, blush pink and muted ochre marks. Its abstract, weathered surface has the character of a lightly worked painting, while the velvet catches the light across the uneven colour.

About this fabric

Made from 100% polyester, this 138cm-wide velvet is rated for domestic upholstery and has Domestic Cig & Match flame retardancy. The colourway is predominantly cool and pale, combining misty grey and white with restrained blush, dusty blue and small touches of tarnished gold-brown. Broken horizontal and vertical brush-like marks create a medium-scale abstract texture, with darker charcoal flecks adding depth without making the overall cloth feel heavy. Aftercare is machine washable, offering practical convenience alongside the softly light-catching velvet surface.

How to use it

Use this pale grey colourway on a sofa, headboard or statement armchair where its blush and blue-grey accents can be echoed through cushions and painted walls. Warm timber and aged brass will draw out the subtle ochre marks without overpowering the delicate, chalky ground.
