Ruched Cognac combines a warm, earthy cognac ground with narrow cream vertical bands, creating a distinctive, rhythmic stripe across the swatch. Within each band, scalloped zigzags, fine horizontal marks and dotted edging give the geometric print a tactile-looking, hand-drawn character.

About this fabric

Made from 100% linen and approximately 137cm wide, Ruched Cognac is specified for curtains and fixed upholstery at General Domestic grade. The rich cognac tone reads as a softened terracotta-brown, while the pale cream channels lighten the repeated vertical arrangement without making it feel stark. Alternating wavy edges and small dotted details add movement to the otherwise ordered stripe, giving this colourway more warmth and depth than a flat two-tone design. Allow 3% shrinkage; care guidance is delicate wash at 30°C or dry clean, with no tumble drying.

How to use it

Pair the warm cognac stripes with natural wood, aged brass and chalky cream walls for a welcoming, collected scheme. Used on curtains, the vertical pattern will emphasise height; on a fixed chair or bench, it provides a lively graphic accent without losing its earthy softness.

Use the warm cognac and cream stripes to bring graphic rhythm and gentle warmth to curtains, occasional upholstery or a relaxed reading chair.
