Little Chintz Blue/Fennel

Archive IV The Collector Fabrics FabricMOF0082-01

Little Chintz Blue/Fennel spreads a finely detailed floral chintz across a pale cream ground, with cool blue-grey motifs balanced by quiet fennel-green foliage. The compact repeat gives the swatch a richly patterned look without a heavy block of colour.

About this fabric

The design is made up of small oval floral medallions, curling stems and leafy botanical forms, woven into an intricate all-over arrangement. Its blue-grey and fennel-green tones remain soft and slightly weathered against the light ground, giving the colourway a cooler, more restrained character than a vivid blue floral. At 300 gsm and 139 cm usable width, this is a versatile mid-weight fabric suited to both upholstery and drapery. The pattern repeats every 37 cm vertically and 35 cm horizontally, with 49 threads per centimetre and a standard length of 60 m.

How to use it

Pair the cool blue-grey motifs with chalky walls, natural timber and warm ivory upholstery, allowing the fennel foliage to connect with muted sage accents. The small repeat is particularly effective on relaxed curtains, Roman blinds, cushions and smaller upholstered pieces where its botanical detail can be seen clearly.

Use this cool, softly muted blue-and-fennel colourway to bring detailed botanical pattern to curtains, cushions or occasional upholstery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
