About this fabric

The design is arranged in orderly horizontal rows, with curling teal foliage, pale flowers and rounded saffron motifs picked out by small coral and terracotta details. Its 300 gsm weight and 49 threads per cm give the cloth a substantial, closely made feel, while remaining versatile enough for upholstery or drapery. The usable width is 139 cm, with a standard length of 60 m. The botanical repeat measures 37 cm vertically by 35 cm horizontally, creating a clearly patterned surface without overwhelming the cool teal ground.

How to use it

Use this colourway to temper warm timber, ochre paint or terracotta accessories, allowing the muted teal to provide a cooler counterpoint. It is well suited to a patterned occasional chair, dining seat or full-length curtain where the saffron details can be repeated in smaller accents.

The cool teal ground and warm saffron accents bring measured colour and traditional character to upholstery or curtains.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Little Chintz Teal/Saffron without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
