Strawberry Thief Indigo/Mineral

Morris 160th Anniversary Wallpaper WallpaperMOW0042-02

Strawberry Thief Indigo/Mineral brings Morris & Co.’s celebrated bird-and-botanical composition into a deep, cool palette. Indigo and mineral blue foliage form the ground, lifted by cream birds, olive leaves, muted berries and touches of golden yellow.

About this fabric

The large-scale design is visibly dense and symmetrical, with paired birds surrounded by curling leaves, flowers, strawberries and finely drawn stems. In this colourway, the dark indigo ground gives the pattern a cool, atmospheric depth, while the mineral blue leaves soften the contrast and the cream birds provide clear focal points. The wallpaper has a usable width of 52 cm, a standard length of 10.05 m and a 61 cm vertical pattern repeat. Its stated weight is 148 gsm.

How to use it

Use the deep indigo tone in a dining room, study or bedroom where the detailed repeat can read as a dramatic feature wall. Pick up the olive foliage, muted red berries or warm cream birds in plain textiles and painted furniture for a coordinated scheme.

Use this richly detailed indigo wallpaper to bring a historic, illustrated focal point to a room.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
