Hikari Midnight

Tomoko FabricSCF0040-01

Hikari Midnight pairs a deep midnight navy ground with rows of irregular ivory bars, creating a strongly graphic textile with a dry, tactile surface. The dark blue-black tone gives the pattern a cool, quietly dramatic depth.

About this fabric

The woven design is built from closely spaced vertical bars, interrupted by horizontal bands that form uneven rectangular rows across the face of the cloth. Creamy ivory threads stand out against the midnight ground, while the raised, nubby weave softens the contrast at close range. At 514 gsm and 91 threads per cm, this is a substantial textile well suited to upholstery. It has a 137 cm usable width, with an 8.5 cm vertical repeat and 16 cm horizontal repeat for planning pattern placement.

How to use it

Use Hikari Midnight on a statement armchair, sofa or dining seat where its cool navy depth can anchor pale timber, chalky walls and warm ivory accents. The ivory bars also make it easy to connect the upholstery with textured cushions or accessories in off-white.

Use this weighty midnight textile to bring graphic contrast and tactile depth to upholstered seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
