Hector Pewter Grey from Sanderson’s Islay Wools is a substantial 372 gsm fabric with a usable width of 141 cm, making it well suited to upholstery. The small herringbone weave is visible throughout, with a tight 18.9 cm vertical repeat and 4.5 cm horizontal repeat that give the surface a subtle directional rhythm. In this colourway the grey sits in a mid-tone pewter register, with a slightly heathered look that softens the pattern and keeps it understated. The finish feels crisp and architectural rather than plush, which suits its smart, wool-rich character.
