About this fabric

This Sanderson fabric from the Islay Wools collection is a substantial textile at 383 gsm, with a usable width of 139 cm and a 30 cm vertical repeat by 28 cm horizontal repeat. The weave has a dry, woolly character that softens the check, while the pale china-blue squares lift the deeper indigo bands and keep the design from feeling heavy. Fine thread variation and the 27.5 threads per cm contribute to the slightly hazy, cloth-like texture visible across the surface. The overall effect is cool and coastal rather than stark, with a muted blue palette that feels practical and quietly handsome.

How to use it
