About this fabric

This Sanderson fabric from the Melford Weaves collection is a substantial 346 gsm textile with a usable width of 140 cm and no pattern repeat, making the weave itself the feature. The surface shows a light natural ground broken by tiny flecks of deeper beige and taupe, giving the colourway a gently speckled, organic look. Its tight 21.5 threads per cm support the refined woven texture visible in the image, while the overall handle suggests a cloth better suited to upholstery than very fluid drapery. The tone sits warm rather than stark, with a sand-and-oat softness that keeps the fabric feeling easy and versatile.

How to use it

Use Lagom Natural on a sofa, banquette or occasional chair where the warm neutral can soften strong lines without drawing attention away from shape. It pairs well with limestone, timber and muted olive accents, and the low-key weave keeps it comfortable in quiet, layered rooms.

A soft neutral that brings quiet texture to tailored seating and understated curtains alike.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
