About this fabric

Water Dragon Cinnabar Red from Sanderson’s Water Garden Fabrics collection is a substantial fabric, with a usable width of 133 cm and a weight of 416 gsm. The repeat is large and theatrical, at 51.5 cm vertical and 66.6 cm horizontal, so the dragons read as a strong decorative statement rather than a subtle all-over. Visually, the red is a bright cinnabar tone with a warm, saturated depth, while the dragon motifs are picked out in cream, olive and darker accents for crisp definition. The surface has the look of a tightly woven, robust textile with a dense 57.7 threads per cm, making it feel suited to pieces that need both presence and structure.

How to use it

This red works well on a feature chair, ottoman or occasional sofa where the pattern can be seen clearly. Pair it with dark wood, aged brass or deep green accents to echo the dragon detailing and heighten the richness of the ground.
