Pheasant

2026 Paint PaintZOP1099-25

The house has discontinued this one. We are keeping the page so the link still works, but we can no longer order it. There are alternatives below, and if you have a cutting or a photograph we will help you match it.

Pheasant is a quietly grounded shade from Zoffany’s 2026 Paint range, sitting between taupe, mushroom and softened brown. It brings a calm, settled look to walls and woodwork without reading cold or flat.

About this colour

At #908780, Pheasant reads as a warm grey-brown with a muted, earthy cast that softens as the light falls away. On walls it absorbs more light than it reflects, so it feels contained and restful rather than bright. In a north-facing room it can appear a little cooler and more stone-like, with the grey notes coming forward. In south-facing light the brown warmth shows more clearly, giving it a gentler, more enveloping character beside natural oak, dark timber and linens in oatmeal, camel or deep green.

How to use it

It suits living rooms, studies and hallways where you want a steady background that works with both painted joinery and upholstered seating. It sits well beside walnut, smoked oak, leather and muted wool in moss, charcoal or clay tones.

Pheasant gives a room a calm, warm backdrop without looking heavy.

Pairs well with

Pheasant is a wall colour, so these are the cloths that sit against it: one of them on the curtains, the paint behind. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.
