About this colour

At #908780, Pheasant reads as a warm grey-brown with a muted, earthy cast that softens as the light falls away. On walls it absorbs more light than it reflects, so it feels contained and restful rather than bright. In a north-facing room it can appear a little cooler and more stone-like, with the grey notes coming forward. In south-facing light the brown warmth shows more clearly, giving it a gentler, more enveloping character beside natural oak, dark timber and linens in oatmeal, camel or deep green.

How to use it

It suits living rooms, studies and hallways where you want a steady background that works with both painted joinery and upholstered seating. It sits well beside walnut, smoked oak, leather and muted wool in moss, charcoal or clay tones.
