About this colour

This shade reads cool, with a green base softened by blue so it feels more restrained than vivid. It holds light gently rather than throwing it back, which gives walls a calm, enveloping look in a room with plenty of daylight. In a north-facing room, Poison can look deeper and a little moodier, with the blue note coming forward; in south-facing light it feels slightly greener and more open. It sits well beside pale oak, walnut, brushed brass and natural linen tones, and it can also anchor darker joinery without feeling harsh. In Acrylic Eggshell, Elite Emulsion or True Matt, it works well where a considered painted finish is wanted on walls or woodwork.

How to use it

Poison suits a study, library or sitting room, especially with panelled woodwork or fitted joinery. It also pairs neatly with camel, mole or moss-toned upholstery and with curtains in soft ivory, putty or quiet patterned grounds.
