Farfalla purple

Farfalla Purple is a painterly floral fabric with airy white ground and large lilac blossoms that feel light rather than heavy. A butterfly motif and scattered green foliage give the design a fresh, romantic movement.

About this fabric

Woven in 95% cotton and 5% linen, this fabric has a soft, natural handle and a 230gsm weight that suits curtains, blinds and soft furnishings. The colourway reads as a pale lilac purple, with cooler lavender petals and deeper violet accents around the flower centres and lower blooms. Against the white background, the wash of colour stays luminous and gentle rather than saturated, so the print feels airy and open. The 70cm horizontal and 66cm vertical pattern repeats allow the large-scale botanical scene to unfold with good visual balance.

How to use it

Use Farfalla Purple in a bedroom or sitting room where you want a light, romantic statement with colour that stays soft. It pairs especially well with painted whites, dove grey and pale sage accents.

Best for airy curtains or blinds, with the lilac blooms adding a fresh, painterly softness.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
