Anaar Tyrian Cherry

Caspian Prints & Embroideries FabricSAF0304-01

Anaar Tyrian Cherry brings a vivid cherry-red fruit motif to a soft pale ground, creating a lively but composed decorative fabric. The trailing stems and leaves keep the pattern airy despite the bold colour.

About this fabric

From Sanderson’s Caspian Prints & Embroideries collection, this fabric is supplied at a usable width of 141 cm, with a 66 cm vertical repeat and a full-width 141 cm horizontal repeat. The 252 gsm weight and 38 threads per cm place it in a substantial mid-weight category that feels suitable for both upholstery and drapery. In this colourway, the pomegranate-like forms read as a clear, saturated tyrian cherry, while the dark stem-and-leaf drawing gives the print a sharper outline against the pale base. The overall effect is crisp and decorative rather than heavy, with enough body for tailored furnishing use.

How to use it

Use it on an accent chair, ottoman or relaxed curtains where the cherry red can lift a neutral room. It sits especially well with cream paintwork, walnut, and aged brass, which echo the fabric’s warm, traditional note.

Pair with natural linens and dark wood for a fresh, tailored scheme.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
