About this fabric

Catalogued as a velvet, Arden has a substantial 416gsm weight that makes it particularly well suited to upholstery. The deep Venetian red ground gives the design a warm, enveloping depth, while the cream animals provide strong contrast against the darker leafy greens and muted botanical accents. Its 98cm vertical and 134cm horizontal repeats create a large, highly visible composition across the 134cm usable width. With 57.7 threads per centimetre and a standard length of 50 metres, it is supplied for considered, pattern-led furnishing projects.

How to use it

Use this warm, dark red colourway for a statement armchair, sofa or upholstered headboard where its cream deer and woodland foliage can be seen at full scale. Pair it with aged oak, antique brass, olive green and quiet natural linens to temper the richness of the velvet.
