About this colour

This shade reads as a muted beige with a gentle golden cast, using #C8B8A8 to keep it warm without turning orange. In north-facing rooms it will look calmer and slightly greyer, taking the edge off cool light while holding its warmth. In south-facing light it becomes lighter and creamier, with the beige notes opening out across the wall. It sits well beside walnut, oak and painted joinery in off-white, and it also gives a steady background to patterned upholstery in earthy reds, olive, ink and tobacco tones.

How to use it

Use it on walls in sitting rooms, dining rooms or bedrooms where you want a colour that stays easy through the day. It works especially well with timber furniture, linen curtains and woodwork in either matching warm white or a deeper brown.
