Infinity Velvets Velvet

Mandal Saffron Wavy brings a rich saffron-gold glow to the Infinity Velvets collection. The velvet pile catches the light across the wavy, scaly texture, giving the surface real depth and movement.

About this fabric

Woven in a 54% viscose and 46% polyester blend, this velvet has the soft lustre and body you can see in the raised pile, with lighter highlights picking out the relief of the pattern. The colourway reads as a warm saffron gold rather than a flat yellow, with muted bronze undertones that deepen in the shadows of the wave. It has a usable width of 138cm, a 17cm vertical pattern repeat and an 18cm horizontal repeat, and it is graded Severe Contract with a Martindale of 100,000. Treatable for FR drapery and upholstery, it is suitable for accessories, drapery and upholstery where a bold, luxurious texture is wanted.

How to use it

This colourway works well on statement seating, tailored cushions or rich curtains where its golden tone can warm a scheme without becoming brash. Pair it with charcoal, chocolate or deep green for contrast, or use it against creamy walls to bring out the velvet sheen.

Use with dark timbers or matte neutrals to let the warm sheen stand out.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
