About this fabric

This Sanderson fabric is a substantial cloth, weighing 460 gsm, with a usable width of 142.5 cm, making it well suited to structured furnishing projects. The 2.5 cm horizontal repeat creates a fine, regular stripe that reads clearly without looking bold or flashy. In this colourway, the madder red has a muted, heritage tone rather than a bright scarlet edge, so it sits comfortably against the softly textured neutral ground. The woven surface gives the stripe a slightly rustic character, adding depth and tactility to the neat linear design.

How to use it

Use Tetbury Stripe Madder on dining chairs, armchairs or bench cushions where the narrow stripe can bring crisp definition. It would also work well in smart curtains or Roman blinds, especially alongside natural linens, dark woods and painted finishes.

A crisp madder stripe that adds tailored character to classic upholstery or curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
