About this fabric

This Highgrove by Sanderson Fabrics design has a substantial 300 gsm handle and a usable width of 139 cm, making it a versatile textile for either upholstery or drapery. The repeat is a full 77 cm vertically and 139 cm horizontally, so the large Jacobean pattern reads with plenty of movement across the cloth. In this colourway, the madder rose tones feel warmly saturated rather than bright, while the blue-grey foliage softens the overall look and keeps the cream ground feeling fresh. The woven surface appears crisp and finely worked, with enough body to suit tailored interior pieces as well as softer furnishings.

How to use it

Use this colourway where you want pattern to feel traditional but not heavy: it works especially well on an armchair, window seat, or lined curtains against painted woodwork. The rose and blue-grey mix sits neatly with weathered oak, stone, and muted sage or duck-egg accents.

Rich madder pinks and blue-grey leaves give this Jacobean floral a classic country-house feel.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Salisbury Jacobean Madder Rose without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
