About this colour

This shade reads as a soft blend of beige and grey, with the beige side keeping it from feeling cold and the grey side stopping it from looking yellow. On a wall, #BAB2A7 sits lightly without reflecting much glare, so it softens strong edges rather than brightening a room sharply. In a north-facing room it will feel cooler and a little more stone-like, while in south-facing light the warmer undertone becomes clearer and the colour looks more welcoming. It works well beside natural oak, walnut, chalky whites and upholstery in muted greens, taupe and tobacco tones. In Acrylic Eggshell, Elite Emulsion or True Matt, it suits both walls and joinery where a calm, grounded colour is needed.

How to use it
