About this colour

This shade reads as a pale grey with a slight blue-green cast, so it stays clean rather than chalky. In north-facing rooms it can feel a touch cooler and more shaded, giving it a calm, restrained look. In south-facing light it opens up a little, appearing lighter and more airy while still holding its grey character. La Seine works well beside pale oak, painted joinery in deeper greys, and upholstery in linen, slate, or soft blue tones.
